Liz Mitchell

Liz Mitchell has more than 20 years of success in the communications field including publishing thousands of features in regional and national magazines and newspapers.

Currently she is a marketing consultant, freelance travel journalist and Regional Acquisitions Editor for BinduTrips which features worldwide itinerary planning by 150 expert travel writers. She writes, ghostwrites and edits books and seminars for a number of private clients.

Her recent publications in 2022 are journals for "Easy Meal Planning,” “My Book Talk,” “My Health Notes,” “Travel Notes” and “My Pet Journal.”

Liz and her husband Charlie recently created the mobile travel app "Myrtle Beach's Best" published by Touch Screen Travels.

Their previous publications are two destination travel apps for mobile devices, also co-authored, published by Sutro Media. "Hilton Head Essentials" and "Myrtle Beach’s Best" are reviews, recommendations and 3000 original photographs of all major historic, cultural and culinary features.

The Mitchells also co-authored two travel books released in 2010. "Myrtle Beach: A Guide to South Carolina’s Grand Strand" and "Hilton Head: A Guide to the South Carolina Lowcountry" were published in the Tourist Town® series by Channel Lake and are available online and in all major bookstores.

Charlie previously authored three editions of "Insider's Guide to Golf in the Carolinas" published by Knight Publishing Company.

Liz writes and photographs great people and places throughout coastal towns for her blog International Show and Tell and contributes a culinary and event series to several additional websites and blogs such as away and Examiner.

She has taught journalism and business writing in university and business college positions and has developed and presented hundreds of writing and public speaking seminars and coaching programs for professional speakers and management groups.

The Mitchell Group created Speakers International for management, marketing and booking of speakers and entertainers who live and work anywhere in the world. Featured presenters are profiled on their website SpeakersInternational.com and its companion blog.

Liz also has created and directed festivals, business conferences and tourism marketing for municipal governments, chambers of commerce and for international non-profit organizations.

Her degree is in English and journalism from East Tennessee State University, with graduate work in linguistics at Longwood College, and she is certified as a seminar leader, a master business writing specialist, a tutor in literacy and English as second language and in English vocabulary.
