Wesley Blauvelt

Wesley Blauvelt is a children’s author, illustrator, and lifelong pop culture enthusiast who believes stories can empower kids to understand the incredible world inside their own bodies.

He is the creator of the Andy Biotic book series, a collection of imaginative adventures set inside the fictional world of Yorbody, where heroic cells, organs, and microscopic allies work together to protect the body from invading germs. Inspired by the idea that children should feel like they have a superhero fighting alongside them when they are sick, Wesley created Andy Biotic to help young readers learn about health, illness, and the amazing systems that keep us alive.

Wesley writes and illustrates his books himself, blending playful storytelling with colorful, animated-style artwork designed to make complex biological ideas easy and fun for kids to understand. His stories combine science, humor, and imagination to help children see their bodies not as something mysterious, but as a powerful world full of heroes.

Outside of writing, Wesley works in education and is passionate about helping students and teachers connect through creative learning experiences. His work often focuses on bringing storytelling, technology, and human connection together to make learning more engaging and meaningful.

When he is not creating new adventures in Yorbody, Wesley enjoys classic 80s pop culture, science fiction, comic conventions, and spending time with his family.

Through the Andy Biotic series, his goal is simple: help kids see that even when they are sick, they are never fighting alone.
