Rita Rosenback

Rita Rosenback is the author of "Bringing up a Bilingual Child" and the upcoming "Diary of a Bilingual Mother". She is the driving force behind the multilingualparenting website and runs a Facebook group with over 12K members. Rita is a Finland-Swede, born into a bilingual family in the village of Dagsmark on the west coast of Finland. She studied languages at universities in Finland and Germany.

After a career of managing international teams and helping parents as a Family Language Coach, she is now focusing on her writing and being a chair for the charity Bilingual Family. Rita has co-written the guides, “How to raise a bilingual child” for parents and “How to support multilingual children” for educators, which are available on the charity's website.

has two adult daughters and is helping to raise her grandsons as the next generation of bilinguals in the family. She now lives in Scotland, and in her free time you can find her pottering in her haphazard cottage garden or hiking in the beautiful scenery.
