Welcome to my Amazon Author page!
A little about my professional background: I received my doctorate in developmental psychology. My primary area of research was on the neural mechanisms that serve as the foundation for early infant-mother attachment. Through that work I became interested in prenatal heath care of socially and economically disadvantaged women.
While working in Costa Rica on a healthcare study funded by the Fulbright Foundation, and working on a textbook on sex and gender, I began writing a historical novel, Green Grows the Grass. Once I returned to the States I began the first book in the Robin Crane Mystery series, Death at Painted Cave. The recently published, Floater in the Baltimore Harbor, is the second mystery novel in the series.
A little about my personal background: I'm a mother and grandmother who has lived in Central America and various states in the United States. I love to travel and have been spending time in California (Death at Painted Cave is set in Santa Barbara) and Oregon during the last couple of years. I'm hoping to return to Costa Rica for a visit this year (one of the settings for Green Grows the Grass, the others being Panama, Nicaragua, and Cuba).
Some of what I'm up to: Currently, I'm at work on the third novel in the Robin Crane Mystery series, Pura Vengeance. Sitting in the wings is a sequel to Green Grows the Grass--A Son's Love.
