Candy Grant

Dr. Candy Grant is an award-winning children's picture book author and is published by Omnibus Publishing. Her fourth book, "A Fairy Tale," was a Gold Mom's Choice Awards Recipient. She was also a 2015 Ezra Jack Keats Award nominee for Best New Author. She grew up in Bayou La Batre, the "Seafood Capital of Alabama," and has called Mississippi her home since 1987.

She has a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Spanish, a master's degree in Health Education, from Mississippi University for Women, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Extension Education from Mississippi State University. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Public Health Education.
