Elizabeth lives in Gloucestershire surrounded by stunning countryside. This provides the perfect setting for her and her clients to tune into their innermost feelings and address the issues that stop them being the best version of themselves.

Elizabeth had a long and varied corporate career but chose to step off that ladder in 2003 to begin a new adventure i.e. running her own business. She ran this successful business for nine happy years. At the beginning of 2012 she gave this up to follow her personal dreams.

For just eleven glorious months Elizabeth and her partner (Dennis Shepherd) enjoyed very early retirement. Early retirement comprised walking, holidays, leisurely lunches and having a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time together, as well as enjoying quality time with friends. Little did anyone realise how short-lived this quality time would be.

At the end of 2012 this idyllic life came to an unwelcome and abrupt end. While out cycling Dennis had a fatal heart attack, and life would never be the same again. Following Dennis’ unexpected death Elizabeth went through a very painful and challenging time. However, like all good stories there is a positive ending… Elizabeth launched a new business (Shepherd Creative Learning) as a personal tribute to Dennis; the man who brought so much to her life personally and professionally.

The experiences following Dennis’ death were often unpleasant and challenging, but the end result was a very deep understanding of self-confidence and the role it plays in everyone’s life.

Today Elizabeth is a specialist self-confidence coach and writer. She helps her clients to be the best version of themselves so they can embrace more of what life has to offer. She’s already published two self-confidence books (A Matter Of Self-confidence – Part I and A Matter Of Self-confidence – Part II), and is working on a self-confidence day book. Elizabeth also publishes a self-confidence blog three times a week and a daily self-confidence tweet.

Every book written by Elizabeth or Eliza Jane Jackson (the other name she writes under) is based on solid knowledge and experience. This is a combination of her own life experiences and those of her clients who have kindly agreed to share their insights. Elizabeth’s primary mission is to give you the courage to achieve your goals – after all a life half lived isn’t much of a life at all.
