Leah Stirewalt

Leah makes her home with her four youngest children in the foothills of Western North Carolina. In addition to her youngest four children (all adopted), she is also the proud mom and bonus mom of five adult "children" and grandma to two precious cuties.

Wildly crazy about her family, Leah is also passionately in love with Christ! As a Christ-follower, she takes seriously the command to care for orphans and widows. She is the author of the blog, Out of Deep Waters, in which she shares about her own widow journey(s) - yes - that's plural, as Leah was twice widowed, all before the age of 45. Now a widowed solo parent of four former orphans (all with special needs), she's learned first-hand how deeply God cares for orphans and widows.

Leah speaks at women's events throughout the country, telling the story of God's reach, rescue, and restoration in her life. She also was deeply honored to share her story in Africa, leading women's conferences within the country of Liberia and in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador.
