I began writing when I was 13 it began as a joke at school. I wrote a short poem about friends sticking closer to you then onions on your breath. When I was fifteen and had just gotten back from a short-term missionary trip I had attended with my youth group, I was having problems adjusting to richness of our country. My friend gave me a journal and said to write down my feelings. I have not stopped writing in some form or other since. I began writing letters, poetry, and short stories. I have several novels I have started, but then I stalled mid-stride and never took the characters to an end. Joji's Chiari Fight is about my son, he has Chiari malformation and autism as well as other conditions, which has taught me so many things. I wanted to share this in a book. Also I wanted to provide people with information on Chiari through a parent's eyes.
