Josh was an 18-year-old-farm-boy from Indiana. With a stuffed backpack, a guitar on his shoulder, and $50 in his pocket, he found himself stepping onto a plane for the first time in his life to move to San Francisco, CA. To say it was one of the most terrifying moments of his life is an understatement. But to his surprise, that one moment catapulted him into a life full of curiosity and wonder.
Since then, Josh has had the beautiful opportunity to lead people to a full life and a better world.
He follows Jesus with a community he founded called Makers in Portland, OR. He's the host of The Common Magic Podcast, as well as the author of Makers & Monsters; Finding Your Inner Artist, Fighting Your Inner Critic.
He takes pleasure in the simple things in life, like a good pair of boots, a solid wi-fi connection, or a cup of coffee from Neverlab in Portland. But more than anything, he longs to lead humanity towards a better world and a full life.
At the end of the day, he hopes his work helps you find a new sense of awe and wonder for your life.
