Veronika Timpe-Laughlin

Dr. Veronika Laughlin is a Ph.D. linguist and children's book author. In her daytime job, she is doing research in second language learning, teaching, and assessment. She is doing cool things like exploring how computers can best be used to practice speaking skills in other languages or how language tests can be made fun and engaging so they don't even feel like tests anymore.

When Veronika is not doing research, she enjoys spending time with her family and writing children's books. Together with her husband, she is raising two bilingual (German-English) children. She has authored bilingual picture books to help her children and other young bilinguals learn about their cultural heritage.
