Barbara Galin was born in Flushing, New York in 1952 and moved to Connecticut when she was 11 years old. Barbara always loved animals, especially cats. Her first Siamese cats "found her" when she was an adult. Jasmine and Chelsea lived to the ripe old age of 19 and almost 20 and were loved and adored. In 1998 Barbara learned about Siamese Cat Rescue and became one of their first volunteers. She has held many positions over the last 15 years including Northeast Regional Coordinator, Northeast Volunteer Coordinator, foster and intake evaluator. She currently lives in Connecticut with her husband Scott and her three personal Siamese cats, Sam I Am, Dunkin Donuts, Millie and sometimes a foster cat. Barbara has two adult children and four grandchildren.
