For 25 years Jacqui has worked for a human rights organisation. In her spare time she helps out at a number of charities, plays guitar, and takes her dog (a very friendly and furry one!) for long walks in the country. She also works as a befriender for a UK eating disorders association.
Jacqui lives near London with her two daughters. They give her LOTS and LOTS of material for her writing so much of what's in her books is based on the real-life ups and downs of being a teenager.
Half my Facebook friends are ferrets won the 2015 Lincolnshire Young People's book award, was shortlisted for the Concorde book award and was chosen for the UK Summer Reading Challenge.
