Steve Haggerty

Steve Haggerty has been writing, as a hobby, for decades… and has just recently published some of his works on Amazon, to share some of his somewhat farfetched ideas. He spent most of his life flying around the world first as a military aviator in the US Air Force and then as an airline pilot for a major US carrier. When that airline did a head fake and he jumped ship, he ended up in India... flying in the wild, wild, west of aviation. Finally he found a home in Singapore, flying Boeing 747s round and round the world, delivering plastic dog crap to wherever demand was the highest. Long layovers and sleepless nights provided the perfect environment for penning numerous works of fiction. The Asia gig over, he turned in his wings and began his next chapter...

Though, in reality, that new chapter is just a continuation of his true passion, writing. His first novel, LUCY IN THE SKY, was initially offered in March 2014, with another, DARKLY, making its appearance in April 2014. A short story collection, THIS IS ONLY A TEST came next, also in April 2014. Since then, A FLASH OF STEEL in 2015 and another short story collection, FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS (AND OTHER FICTIONS) arrived in 2019. Lastly, a new novel, A CROSS ALL TIME debuted a short time ago, in 2020.

Steve is working on the second book of the Jack Turner saga (the hero from LUCY IN THE SKY), and hopes to have it finished by the end of 2023. There are numerous other works in early stages of development, but finding time to write is a recurring problem. Though writing might someday become more than a hobby for Steve, he still has to put food on the table…

He currently lives with his wife, Karen, and son, Jack, in central Florida. His two older children, Katie and Julia, live in the United Kingdom and North Carolina, respectively.
