D.H. Blake

DH Blake lives on the high Sonora Desert of Southeastern Arizona. She was born in Chicago, but fell in love with the culture, people and food of the border state when looking for a university to attend years ago. Transplanting to the desert transformed her life forever. Although raising a family and caring for horses, dogs, cats and other critters kept her busy, she began writing romances in her free time. Writing has been a constant companion in Donna's life, publishing everything from professional counseling programs to freelance articles, stories, and poetry. As an artist, she has also won juried contests and awards for paintings and varied media art. But she was called to another mission.

For the past 25 years, Donna has maintained a private practice as a professional counselor specializing in Criminal Justice and offender counseling. Through years of intense interpersonal involvement with thousands of people, the author has compiled a unique perspective on violence and crime. Using her innate abilities as a writer, her extraordinary insight into human nature,and the eye of the artist, Ms. Blake created Serpent in the House.
