Anthony K Benefield

Anthony K. (Tony) Benefield was born in Staunton, Virginia and grew up in the greater Orlando area. He served the public as a street cop, under cover drug investigator, task force director, criminal investigator, and chief of detectives. For many years he was the lead investigator for homicide investigations. He also worked in a special unit monitoring violent offenders, violent sex offenders, and sexual offenders for the State of Tennessee. For a short time he worked as a private investigator in Atlanta, Georgia. He investigated and supervised investigations for all types of major crimes including homicides, missing persons, wrongful deaths, arson, kidnapping, and organized crime. He wrote his first novel, "Kent Rivers - The Story," in 2013 about a chief detective in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is the first in a series of several "Kent Rivers" books to be written.
