I was born in Hastings, England in 1971 but grew up in rural North Wales. I had a very happy childhood and I was able to enjoy the rural life with fishing, horse riding and hunting as my teenage hobbies. I joined the British Army and served with the Royal Artillery when between 1988 to 1995. I served in Central America, Northern Ireland and in other theaters around the world. In 1995 I joined the police service and served with them until 2013. I am currently studying for a BA(Hons) degree in English and History studies with the University of Lincoln. I really have enjoyed reading some classic books and I hope that some of the techniques might have transferred (maybe by some kind of mental osmosis) to my work.
I have been married to Jo since 1993 and we have three wonderful kids, the youngest is now 14... where did the years go?
I have thought about writing for many years but my studies have given me the confidence to give it a go. The dream is I can make a living as an author.
The first book, Dark Valley, was great to write. I produced it in three months but included in this were some serious late night caffeine fueled writing sessions. This leaves the narrative quite raw and powerful in places. I have left it like that. I didn't want to polish those qualities out of it.
The second book is written in a more mainstream third party extradiegetic narrative. It is longer and, to be honest, better planned than Dark Valley. I enjoyed the writing but it was less frenetic than Dark Valley. This is visible in the work
Please download it and enjoy.
Thanks
