Erik L'Heureux

Erik L’Heureux FAIA, LEED AP BD+C is a Vice Dean, Master of Architecture Programme Director and Dean’s Chair Associate Professor at the School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore, teaching a new generation of architects to be committed to the potentials of architecture positioned on the equator. His creative practice combines passive performance, pattern, and simplicity as a response to the dense urban equatorial context, manifest through his numerous buildings and writing. His research has been recognised by a Wheelwright Prize from Harvard, and his buildings have won several AIA New York and SARA Design Awards. In addition to his creative practice, his book projects include Deep Veils (ORO Editions, 2014), Drawing Climate (Birkhauser 2021) and Renovating Carbon (ORO Editions, 2022).
