Inger Johanne Simonsen (1945 - ) was born in the remote village of Baldersheim, deep in a fjord in Western Norway. She moved to London in 1963 where she was befriended by The Rolling Stones, The Pretty Things and Jeff Beck, to name but a few.
Starting out as an au-pair girl, she moved on to do some modeling before returning to her native Norway in 1965 to attend art school. When she was offered the chance to immigrate to USA however, she left art school after only one semester and moved to New York.
A Jill of All Trades, a free lance writer and part-time model, she has made her home in London, New York, San Francisco, Santa-Fe, Los Angeles, and Norway where she worked in accounting for her last 15 years before retiring.
Her first full length book, "Longhaired Lads of London", is now available to the public in paperback as well as on kindle. It tells the tale of the author's friendships, and love relationships, with some of the most famous musicians of our time. In her sequel, Stars In the Lobby, she continues to mingle with the stars in Los Angeles/Hollywood having dinner with Leonard Cohen and a fling with Richard Gere.
She also has a book on Kindle written in Norwegian: Reisen til Hollywood (Journey to Hollywood), telling tales of being a hippie in late sixties, backpacking in Europe, and mingeling with the stars in the seventies on two continents.
Inger Simonsen, together with her son, made her home in Los Angeles area for many years, and for a while worked at famous Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood. She was a contributor of stories to the book about the hotel, Life At The Marmont. Now retired, and fully concentrating on her writing, she makes her home once again California.
