Active in animal rescue since May, 2009, Sue Torres became an advocate for pit bull breeds after adopting her first pit bull in February, 2011. Her first book, "Loyalty Unleashed: Pit Bulls and the People who Love Them," is a collection of over 100 pit bull adoption stories from around the U.S. It is available in paperback and e-book formats.
Her second book, "Loyalty Unleashed II: More Pit Bulls and the People Who Love Them," is a new collection of stories and pictures, including updates on some of the dogs featured in the first book as well as many new stories detailing how pit bulls have changed their owners' lives for the better. "Loyalty Unleashed II" is also available in paperback and e-book formats.
Torres' mission is to educate the mainstream public by portraying these dogs in a positive light. It is hoped that this will help to reduce the pit bull overpopulation in our nation's shelters by encouraging adoptions and promoting responsible ownership. Torres lives in Connecticut with her pit bull Mickey.
