April Freeman found her calling a bit serendipitously, as all she wanted to do after her undergraduate studies was eat her way around the world. Her love of food had her toying with the idea of being a travel food critic, but soon found out that she was much better at carelessly eating and socializing than giving written reviews on the subject. With her fantasy held at bay, she started NSU and graduated with a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy in 2007. April worked in a variety of different settings including child therapy, sex offenders, the Seminole Tribe of Florida and Multiple Sclerosis population.
April currently works in private practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and lives with her husband and two rambunctious dachshund puppies. When April isn’t fueling her passion by helping individuals, couples and families live happily and have harmonious relationships, you can find her in the kitchen cooking something gourmet, reading historical fiction novels or doing crossfit workouts.
