Mary Saad Assel

Mary Assel's professional background adds further depth to the work. With a doctorate in Brain Science and Curriculum and Instruction from Wayne State University, and more than 32 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language in higher education across Africa, the Middle East, and the United States, Assel brings both linguistic expertise and cultural sensitivity to her translation. She has authored multiple books, translated articles and texts from Arabic into English, and continues to be active in interfaith outreach.

Beyond her scholarship and writing, Assel remains committed to service. All proceeds from The Holy Quran Verbatim – An Innovative Translation are dedicated to local worship centers, reflecting her conviction that books are more than literary contributions—they can also be instruments of generosity, unity, and peace.
