Susan Windley-Daoust, Ph.D., is the executive director of The Mark 5:19 Project, a Catholic apostolate dedicated to fostering thriving, apostolic parishes and leaders. Prior to founding The Mark 5:19 Project, she was the Director of Missionary Discipleship for the Diocese of Winona-Rochester (MN), and her first career was as an academic theologian with 22 years of teaching undergraduates and pastoral theology graduate students.
She has written articles for America, Sojourners, Homiletic and Pastoral Review, and multiple academic journals. Theology of the Body, Extended won the 2015 Best Book by a Small Publisher award from Catholic Book Association. The Four Ways Forward: Becoming an Apostolic Parish in a Post-Christian World was a finalist selection for the ACP and CBA awards.
Susan is married to author Jerry Windley-Daoust, and they are the parents of five teen and young adult children.
