Laura Kingdon

Starting with her first translation at the age of 9, when she translated a short story she'd written into two other languages, Laura has always been interested in learning as many other languages as she can. Naturally, after her move to Korea in 2004, she began learning the Korean language. She only intended to stay for a year, but Korea's charms and its fascinating language held her interest, and ten years later she has become a professional translator (French and Korean to English) and has written her first book, all about the intricacies of Korean grammar.

When she isn't either studying or working to finance her steady consumption of dictionaries, grammar guides, textbooks and caffeine, Laura enjoys traveling and seeing the more unusual side of each country she visits along with her husband, a travel writer whom she met in Korea.
