Robert Sorrell

Robert Sorrell is an award-winning journalist, author, and freelance writer residing in Elizabethton, Tennessee. A graduate of Greeneville High School and East Tennessee State University, he has received several awards from the Tennessee Press Association, Virginia Press Association, Scripps Howard Awards, and the Associated Press for news writing. He has served as a news reporter with the Erwin Record, Elizabethton Star, and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Bristol Herald Courier. In addition, he has written for numerous regional and national magazines and newspapers. He has been published in Grit Magazine, Pinnacle Living Mountain Homes, Marquee Magazine, Georgia Magazine, Hobby Farms, and Blue Ridge Country. His first book, Images of America: Roan Mountain, led him to received the Award of Distinction from the East Tennessee Historical Society. In addition, he is a licensed real estate agent in Tennessee and North Carolina and works with CENTURY 21 Legacy.
