LORRAINE RAYMENT moved to South Carolina to escape the cold Montana winters, and be closer to their daughter. She lives with husband Bob, and elderly rescue terrier, Dori. After a few years hiatus she released a new book TROLLING FOR CATFISH, the eleventh in the DOGPARK series.

She soon finished two books later in 2024."IT GOES ON" as well as a book about the civil war in the south, which was her thirteenth. She became fascinated when the family moved to a home on a golf course which just happened to be a historical site. The last shots of the war in South Carolina fired practically in her back yard. The book is titled "The Year of the Cicada" as the periodical brood that emerged there in 2024 were also present in 1863 during the civil war.
