Frank Haw

Frank Haw born (1932) and raised in the environs of Puget Sound has remained addicted to angling since early childhood - a passion that steered him into the profession as a biologist with the Washington State Department of Fisheries. He served as head of the state's salmon sport program during its peak years and was Deputy Director of Fisheries under two Governors. Following retirement from public service he joined Northwest Marine Technology as a senior biologist working on fish identification systems. He has been a staunch supporter of fishery and hatchery reform. His interest in fish and angling, particularly for different members of the salmon family, have included excursions to various locations in the northern hemisphere
