L A Kent

A wordsmith met a psychologist and L A Kent was born.

L A Kent is the pen name of Louise Harrington and Andy Sinden. They have recently enjoyed bringing “Wild Justice” to life: the new L A Kent, the fantasy crime thriller set in real life. It is set predominantly in Cornwall where they have lived for more than 20 years. It also features action in London and Bristol. And other countries (sorry, no spoilers!).

L A Kent has also authored the DI Treloar series, four crime thrillers set in Cornwall. They are the brains and writers behind two wonderful cookbooks: fish and seafood, and soup salad and stuff. These are authored by Beatriz Treloar, a recurring character in the DI Treloar series.

Before picking up their pens Louise and Andy had corporate lives. Mostly in IT. During this time they travelled extensively across Europe, worldwide and throughout the UK. They lived and worked for several years in South Africa, taking the opportunity to visit neighbouring Namibia and Zimbabwe.

They enjoy bringing experiences from the overseas locations they have been lucky enough to visit to their writing.
