- As a worker In the mental health field, Alexis Jackson embarked on a journey to help bring awareness and acceptance. She is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State Univeristy and a native of Kinston, NC. By obtaining her degree in psychology, she was inspired to write a book where ones story will show how their diversities can be embraced.
