About J.A. York

J.A. York is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and a writer of romance/suspense novels for adults (age 18 and up). The author lives with his wife, Mary, and their four dogs on an acreage in south-central Washington state. When not writing, he enjoys reading, hiking and running his border collie, Chek (short for Chekhov) in the sport of agility.

JAY, as his friends call him, is a retired newspaper reporter, editor and columnist. He won several writing awards during his career as a journalist, and when he retired he discovered he couldn't stop writing, so he turned to fiction. He does not have a huge body of work -- yet -- but he is working very hard (and loving it) at remedying that, so readers are urged to be patient. :)
