Mark Votava

Mark Votava lives in the Pacific Northwest in Tacoma, WA where he has rooted himself in the neighborhood of Downtown Tacoma for over a decade. He is a core member of the Tacoma Catholic Worker and has dedicated his life to practicing a more subversive, creative, and contemplative way of life in the twenty-first century that is engaged relationally in the world.

Mark is a contemplative activist, ordinary mystic, and local practitioner. He is author of The Communal Imagination: Finding a Way to Share Life Together and The Mystical Imagination: Seeing the Sacredness of All of Life.
