My son, George III, loved stories at bedtime. One evening we ran out of books and decided to write our own. He was about three years old and I still have his crayola scribbles for "The BumpyPumpkin". It was a fun project and has been well received.
Being an older parent of younger children, I knew it would be important for them to have guidance through their Christian growth. "Every Kite Needs a String" is a good learning tool for all. Michael Jensen, the artist, has an innate ability to capture children's imaginations. It's no wonder that he worked on the Curious George series.
I am a long term survivor of aggressive brain cancer and wrote "The Dutiful Donkey" in the car while my father was driving me to Duke for treatment. It is essentially the Easter story retold at Christmas, using different characters to demonstrate God's providence in his gift of grace.
Nine Naked Babies was written because daughter Elizabeth would remove the dolls clothes and the house was full of naked dolls. Its purpose is to teach young girls to be Christian mothers and teachers for their children. It is a rhyming, counting book with bible verses in context with each rhyme. Michael Jensen, again, contributed greatly.
Both EKNS and 9NB are coloring books, TBP and TDD are full color illustrations.
Will continue building this page as time allows.
