William J. Pepe

William John Pepe was born in Boston's West End (MA). In 1943, at age eight, his widowed mother moved William and his seven siblings fifteen miles outside the city to "the country," Weymouth. Weymouth and William grew up. Weymouth became a city. William became a senior citizen.

Family responsibilities postponed William's lifelong interest in freelance writing until his retirement years. Shortly before his retirement from a dual career as a teacher and as an income tax preparer, his wife and he collaborated to write three Postcard History Series books for Arcadia Publishing Company. The book titles and their dates of publication are "Weymouth" 2004, "Quincy" 2008, and "Boston" 2009. The couple also contributed two chapters to the book "Postcard History of Norfolk County, Massachusetts. " All four books are available through Amazon dot com.

In 2008, William began his retirement avocation as a writer of historically oriented articles. They have appeared in several nationally circulated publications. William's first independently published book, "Teaching for Their Future," was published by Amazon's Kindle. It became available in 2016 and it reflects his more than forty years as an educator.

His wife and he then turned to publishing, through CreateSpace, their book "A is for Abigail, W is for Weymouth." It became available in September 2016. Again through CreateSpace, Mr. Pepe published his book "Weymouth Stories" and published a print edition of "Teaching for their Future." In 2017, he has added two more books in print, "Joys o Collecting, Frivolous and Not-So-Frivolous Items" and "Short Stories and Flash Fiction." He has also added a Kindle version of "Short Stories and Flash Fiction." Mr. Pepe is enthusiastic about CreatSpace publishing and is planning future books for publication using their resources.
