Joyce Ann Whitlock

Joyce Ann Whitlock is a registered nurse but her passion is writing short stories. She has published several articles and she is the author of four books. She resided in southern California for several years but returned to the east coast to be near her family. After relocating to the neighborhood where she grew up as a child, she realized the neighborhood had changed because of urban renewal. Some of her neighbors' home were demolished and were replaced with oversized homes. She was inspired to write her first book, 'Sacred Ground" to reflect those earlier years growing up in this small but loving community. The book is a vignette of her former neighbors told from the eyes of a young child. A good book for any age but especially for teenagers and young adults.

"Julie the Dreamer" is an autobiography but written as a novel. An easy read for middle grades students, young adults, and anyone who enjoys reading.

"Faith it All" is an inspirational which covers a myriad of subjects such as ways to cope after the death of a loved one, living alone, strategies on how to seek gainful employment, and much more. It is for anyone who may need coaching after they have gone or going through the storms of life.

"The Bootlegger Daughter" is Joyce Ann Whitlock's first novel. A love story of the undying love between a man and a woman who found resorting to bootlegging after facing financial hardship. The book leaves the reader hanging because part II is in the making. An easy read for middle grade students, young adults, and anyone who desires wholesome and literary readings.
