Neil G M Hall

Neil G M Hall, a vintage Baby Boomer, was born in 1947 in South Africa to English parents. At age one, his parents briefly returned to England, but then set off again to work in Germany at an ex Nazi U-boat Base turned English school. 'An English Baby Boomer - My Life and Times' is Neil G M Hall's first book, but not his last. Baby Boomer is a social history of the past 60 years in England, told with humour and seen through Neil G M Hall's fascinating life. Hall is a polymath -- a business entrepreneur, a very good amateur photographer, a lover of all things English and above all else a survivor in a very changing world. Did tough experiences at eccentric prep schools, followed by Marlborough College pre Kate Middleton, really prepare him for a topsy-turvy Britain? Baby Boomer is receiving excellent reviews on Amazon UK. Sir Ranulph Fiennes, author and explorer, 'The most unexpected journey can be right on your doorstep. Witty and deftly constructed, I much admire this true story of an adventurous and enterprising life.' Neil G M Hall has always loved writing and a book of short stories is in the works, along with an English children's book screenplay. His son, Tarquin Hall, journalist and author of several travel books, one 'Mercenaries, Missionaries and Misfits', published by his parents twenty years ago, as well as the Vish Puri Indian Detective series for Simon & Schuster, New York, encourages his father to write. Neil's other son, Alexander, who works in the USA film industry has a sci fi book being published in the autumn of 2014. Writing runs in the family!
