Lorenzo Lucchesi

Lorenzo Lucchesi (2001) was born in San Francisco, California, raised in the city's Excelsior District, and is a graduate of St. Ignatius College Preparatory and the University of California at Berkeley (BA: Legal Studies, Minors in Korean & Mandarin Chinese with additional coursework in Modern Greek). He has authored several publications including two non-fiction books chronicling American history -- Staten Island: Like It or Not! (2019) and Georgia Rising: The Battle Between Pride & Policy (2023). For both works, he undertook a multi-year research process that required interviewing hundreds of relevant individuals and gathering extensive archival materials.

In addition to writing, Lucchesi maintains a passion for the musical arts, having studied both the piano and accordion. He has played the latter instrument since the age of seven and continually enjoys performing out for private and professional events. Currently, he is a JD-degree seeking student at the University of San Francisco (USF) School of Law and is exploring the prospects of writing other books in the future that expand his work in documenting the nation's storied history.
