Christy's interest in geckos began as part of her fascination with unique looking animals of all sizes and shapes, whether koala bears, ant eaters, pandas--or geckos. Zeroing in on her favorite reptile, geckos, she shares her fascination with these unusual animals through her hoped-for ongoing series of children's books featuring her own imaginary yet mysterious little friend, Gecko 'da Echo. Written under the umbrella title of The Curious World of Gecko 'da Echo, this series will foster an appreciative love of nature and geckos in young children by introducing them to geckos and developing a subsequent and enduring interest in them.

The Curious World of Gecko 'da Echo, through main character Gecko' da Echo and his little friends, educates young readers about geckos and their environment through appealing to youngsters' vivid and imaginative senses. Curious World artistically combines vibrant colorful pictures with the author's irrepressible rhythmic style to also encourage and develop children's feel for, and appreciation of, language.

A Publication Consultants author since 2000, Christy has also written two other books (Pam, Hope Renewed), and contributed articles to others' magazines and books. Her serial offering of The Curious World of Gecko 'da Echo is her first launch into the marketing world of children's books. Its intended audience is children ranging from kindergarten pre-readers still being read to up through middle school children capable of reading to themselves and others.

In addition to this newest venture into children’s books, she also writes inspirational and devotional poetry that has been put to music in her church—and used at various memorial services.
