Claude Jollet was born in the predominantly French-speaking province of Québec, Canada in 1946. He retired from a 31 year career in operational meteorology in 1997. In addition to his formal training in meteorology, he holds a degree in Computerized Management Systems from Université du Québec à Montréal.
In his spare time, he liked to tinker with radios and antennas. He obtained his license to operate an amateur radio station in 1973. His call sign has been VE2DPE since then.
A self-proclaimed eclectic, he has spawned a number of websites, each a byproduct of his passions: meteorology, amateur radio, "infopreneurship" and... writing, of course. Here are some examples:
