Alessandro Roffeni

Alessandro Roffeni is an Italian author who has been dealing with English/American literature, music and cinema for 45 years. Has published two books about the black blues and translated a lot of writers, including Samuel Beckett, Seamus O'Kelly and Marshall McLuhan. But his main interest in American fiction remains Jack London, whose work he has widely edited and written about. His essay "Hollywood, Europa" makes a survey of the work of European filmmakers in Hollywood, focusing on how, in their best achievements, they have succeeded in bridging the gap between the two cultures.
