Gloria W. Nye

Gloria is the author of the Dragonfly Series novels. Book 1: The Hidden Vow; Book 2: The Broken Promise; Book 3: The Forbidden Path (May 2021). She is hard at work now on the 4th book. The title hasn't shown itself yet.

Her first Dragonfly story was a short story from a dream. However, it grew into a novel, "The Hidden Vow." It was first published under the title: Medieval Love.

The dragonfly continues to fly into yet another life. The latest one, The Forbidden Path, is the story of Emma, a young woman from 17th Century England, who lives through the Bubonic Plague and the worst fire London has ever known.

Her updated book of short stories, "Buried Treasures" will be out soon with ten stories added, and a new cover. Watch for it.

Gloria has won several prizes for her short stories at the Elora Writers’ Festival, Words Alive Literary Festival in Sharon, ON, and honourable mention at the Eden Mills Writers’ Festival. She has been short listed several times at the Writers’ Union of Canada.

Gloria also co-edited (and has one story under a pen name in the book): "Fifty Shades of Natural Grey: Spicy Stories for the Seasoned Woman" published by Eve Publishing.

She lives on 12 wooded acres in southern Ontario, Canada, beside a wide river which every ten years rises to a height which threatens to wipe away the back deck. So far, so good.
