Peter McNamara's ten poetry collections include "Eating Up Light" (2022), "that end/not end" (2020), and "Recurrent Dawn" (2019). His "Sixteen Poems" is a selection from earlier published books including "Quickened Dark" (2017) and "Orbits' Crossing" (2013). As a lyricist/librettist his notable work includes "East River Bridge," an opera performed for the Brooklyn Bridge centennial, and "Anthem of Love and Hope," a choral ode for AIDS sufferers. As well, he has translated poetry of Pablo Neruda, Garcia Lorca and Pierre Reverdy.
