James Tilley is a Professor of Politics at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford. His research focuses on public opinion, electoral behaviour and British politics. He has authored three books: Tribal Politics with Sara Hobolt (OUP, 2026), The New Politics of Class with Geoffrey Evans (OUP, 2017) and Blaming Europe with Sara Hobolt (OUP, 2014). He regularly writes and presents documentaries for BBC Radio 4.
