Glenn Mulcaire is a former semi-professional footballer and lead investigator at the News of the World. Emerging from the notorious World’s End Estate in Chelsea, the former AFC Wimbledon player cut his teeth as a private investigator in companies such as Unitel, Argen and Legal Research & Intelligence. After years of experience, he graduated to blue-chip operations such as Lord Steven’s corporate risk outfit, Quest. For the last 14 years, Glenn has been a whistleblower and expert witness for the claimants in the long-running phone hacking litigation against Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers, the Mirror’s Reach PLC, and more recently in Prince Harry’s case. After qualifying as a First Responder in Emergency Care, Glenn now advises on crisis management, PTSD and anxiety issues. His first book, ‘The News Machine,’ was co-authored with James Hanning, of the Independent on Sunday and his second bestselling book ‘Shadow Man’ co-authored by Sunday Times Best-Selling author Joe Cusack was published June 2024. Today, his faith and family are the bedrock of his life in South West of England, where he resides with his wife Alison and five children. Glenn has successfully sued his former criminal lawyers Slater & Gordon for professional negligence.
