Faruk Dilaver

I was born in 1946 in Vezirköprü, a county of Samsun. I completed elementary school in Vezirköprü, secondary school in Tokat, high school in Ordu, and my higher education at Eskişehir Economics and Commercial Sciences Academy. I also received computer education in Germany and England.

I provided significant services for the introduction and establishment of computers in Turkey and trained many experts in this field. After serving in the Air Force for eleven years, I administered a foundation establishment subsidiary to Hacettepe University. Following that duty, I pioneered in the establishment and was the chairman of the board of four companies in the computer business.

After thirty years of business life, I devoted the rest of my life to research and spread Yunus Emre’s thoughts and cultures by establishing Yunus Emre Culture and Social Aid Association. Parallel to my studies, I produced many works, and three of my works have been translated into English.

I am still giving speeches at seminars and conferences in Turkey and abroad in the direction of Yunus Emre’s ideas of love, unity, and peace. I am married and a father of two children.
