Michael Duffy

Michael Duffy is a freelance Devops consultant and writer. He can be coaxed away from the keyboard by a cunning combination of the promise of beer and a quiet garden in which to enjoy it. He whiles away many happy hours in his office in the middle of constable country, enjoying it when his wife, son or daughter use the aforementioned techniques to make him come out and see the world.

Michael has worked for clients ranging from the very, very big, to the very, very small, and especially enjoys it when his clients are slightly weird and filled with people who are cleverer than him. When not preaching at people about how computers used to be better 'when he was a lad', and how garbage collected languages have spoiled people, he enjoys writing about technology that is both exciting, and more importantly, slightly useful.
