Dr. La Verne Tolbert

La Verne Tolbert, PhD, is President of Teaching Like Jesus Ministries, a non-profit organization equipping leaders in the local church. She is also Director of the Society for Children's Spirituality: Christian Perspectives, an educational organization that encourages scholars and practitioners to explore factors that contribute to the spiritual development of children. She has written and edited several books including Exploring and Engaging Spirituality for Today's Children: A Holistic Approach (Wipf and Stock) and Teaching Like Jesus: A Practical Guide to Christian Education in Your Church (Zondervan).
