Gail Mazourek

Gail Mazourek started out a country girl in a family of eight children with two capable and loving parents. Looking back, she attributes her way of parenting and perseverance to the undeniable influence of those 18 years at home. Her degree in life includes high school, a few college classes, and writing workshops, all seasoned with what life dealt along the way. After her husband, Rudy, died, Gail’s greatest happiness lay in helping Shirley and Rudy III attain higher education just as Cynthia had. Gail opened a licensed Treatment Care Home for teenage boys, and over the 17 years in operation, 31 children, besides her five birth children, called her house home. After six years a widow, Gail remarried. She and Adolf Busse have been together more than 21 years. as of September 2020. Even though remarried, keeping Rudy’s last name attests that Gail she remarried to a man who has some reasonable attributes. Gail dearly loves her children and grandchildren. She has published four books, and enjoys writing a weekly column for Finger Lakes Publications, which publishes encompasses nine small-town newspapers.

The annual Rudolf Mazourek Memorial Scholarship for Alfred State College is funded by Gail, using proceeds from her creativity. She lives in Danby, NY on 14 acres of partially wooded land with her husband.

Gail Voorheis Mazourek is a member of the Chief Taughannock Chapter of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution)

The fictitious story, Samantha's Revolution, includes the non-fictious patriot, Wm Crow, and revolves around factual historical happenings, dates and weather included, at the time of the revolution. Patriot William Crow received a pension in his 75th year from the Bureau of Pensions, Washington D. C. - O. W. & North Division, J.R.W., pension no. S32196, Pension Roll for Jackson CO, OH, p.135.
