Brenda Scott-Coleman

Brenda believes her books should have special meaning to children (specifically girls) with facial differences who are teased about the way they look; and may be faced with the same adversities as she did as a child. Her most important deed in life now is to reach out to those girls with facial differences hoping that her story will be an inspiration to them. Her way of reaching out is by giving her books to organizations that help children with facial disfigurements; by sharing her story at schools, churches and libraries. Her books should also give children a better understanding about how we all look different in so many ways and we should not judge others by the way they look.

Brenda pursued a job of a lifetime where she traveled the world promoting U.S. trade and received one of the U.S. government highest honors the Bronze Medal. She is also a designer of unique custom made ear jewelry CHANGE-A-LETS marketed to ladies who cannot wear traditional earrings due to medical reasons.

Brenda resides in her dream house that her late husband had built for her nearby the Chesapeake Bay. She has two sons and two grandchildren.
