Keith A. Youse

Keith was born in a small town in rural Carbon County, Pennsylvania. After finishing grade school and the local high school, Keith went to college. This occurred during the height of the Vietnam conflict as Keith found himself torn between what he felt was his duty to his country and finishing his education. He enlisted in the United States Army and volunteered for airborne training and then to go Vietnam. After being decorated for bravery and exemplatory service his tour of duty in Vietnam was over. Although this novel, Death and Deliverance, A Young Civil War Soldier's Journey is written as a fictional account of a young man, a warrior of another day, the insights to battle and dangerous situations came directly from the author himself as he put himself in the mix of another unpopular war that had taken place 150 years before.
