Erika McGann

Erika McGann is an award-winning children’s author based in Dublin. Originally from Drogheda, Co. Louth, she studied Animal Behaviour and Welfare before moving into publishing, and eventually writing for children. She writes for all ages and has a wide range of books available, from picture books such as 'Where Are You, Puffling?' (with illustrator Gerry Daly), to novels for older readers, such as 'The Strange Tale of Barnabus Kwerk'.

Recently, her middle grade fantasy book, 'Tabitha Plimtock and the Edge of the World' (with illustrations by Phillip Cullen), was awarded a White Raven by the International Youth Library, and her third picture book with Gerry Daly, 'Puffling and the Egg', was shortlisted for an An Post Irish Book Award and the Teach Primary Book Awards.
