Caroline Holmes

A garden historian of places, people and plants who sifts humour from humus worldwide. I lecture, speak and, hopefully, entertain internationally delving into the myriad ways people and plants have historically shaped landscapes and what we can learn from them. Far from being stuck in the past, I like to look back to step confidently forward. Academic but not dry, informative and entertaining, I have travelled in every continent except Antarctica and swum in many of their seas. I seek out art and culture inside and out as well as good hairdressers in order to fully imbibe my setting.
